One of the earliest dive watches was the Omega SA. The first watch commercially distributed in 1932. It was able to withstand pressure down to about 13.5 atm (135 m or 443 ft). But even today cheaper divers can withstand that kind of pressure.

Since that initial release, a number of luxury brands have become synonymous with the dive watch. These include brands like Rolex, Bulova and the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. Jacques Cousteau wore the Fifty Fathoms and can be yours for a mere $10,000.

Now most of us, me included, don’t have that kind of scratch to spend on an everyday watch. We need something with decent quality and moderate ATMs. The watches in our guide below are definitely quality and won’t break the bank. First up is one of my favorites, the Steinhart Ocean One vintage Men’s Dive Watch.
