With suede uppers and a waterproof rubber sole, these shoes are designed with cold-weather protection in mind. Available to buy in black or camel colors and sizes eight to thirteen, these shoes are an attractive, inexpensive item and would make an ideal gift. Designed for quick outdoor use (e.g. walk to shops, snow shoveling) rather than heavy use (e.g. mountaineering, hiking, etc.) We can’t help but feel these are a great buy for the bargain shopper.
Last but not certainly not least in our guide is the BOGS Men’s Urban Farmer Winter Shoe ($50). This slip-on shoe is available in black or chocolate as the name suggests these shoes are specifically designed for hardcore use on farms. Available in sizes seven to fourteen, these shoes are definitely “substance above style” and their rigid design will withstand various harsh environments. Both waterproof and warm these shoes are definitely for the outdoors and are made from synthetic materials, with an enhanced steel shank. The Salomon Men’s Snowclog Snow Boot ($100) is one of my favorite snow shoes on the list. The first version of this shoe have much deeper lugs. But this version is still a great shoe. I own these shoes and they also make a great yard shoe for dealing with wet grass on slopes and rainy days.
