Diamond Atelier was started on a summer night in Munich on July 13th. It was the point they realized that the majority of motorcycles they saw looked like they rolled off the same Cafe Racer production line. They wanted to instill fresh ideas and unique styles into an established niche.
One of the first bikes they worked on was the DA#1 BMW R80 ($CALL). With its heated grips and large windshield, the R80 was originally made for those expecting to travel long distances. DA had other ideas. Their plans was to make it “light, low and brutal” making it the perfect machine for midnight cruises through downtown.
