Ryan and Joe of Suus took their electrified Honda C90 Motorcycle ($NFS) to Deus Ex Machina’s 3rd Bike Build Off and came home with a first-place trophy. Their bike won from a field of about 40 entrants. They started with one goal. To build a bike “that didn’t look awkward or unbalanced.” They also didn’t want the fact it was electric to be obvious. They took a Honda C90, along with a scooter frame, and some damaged electric parts and came up with the work of art you see here. The bike combines cutting-edge technology and retro design to great effect. It doesn’t make use of a gearbox and instead uses high-efficiency motors. Fewer moving parts means it’s reliable despite its age. This lightweight, nippy little cycle is perfectly suited to whizzing around tight city streets. Able to make laborious journeys more enjoyable and more eco-friendly.
