The DJI Osmo ($649) is an expensive piece of kit, but it very well may be worth it to those who value silky smooth videos. The Osmo is a hand held camera and gimbal that takes all of the jitters out of your videos. Even if you’re running full out, your videos will look like they’re being shot from a professional rig. It does this through advanced technologies specifically designed to keep the camera flat regardless of how you move it. Additional features include an automatic panoramic mode. Just hold the camera above your head, and tap the shutter release. The camera will rotate, capturing images while staying completely level. The Osmo will come in three versions. Each shoots 4k video. The X3 has a 1/2.3 sensor size and shoots 12-megapixel stills. The X5 and X5R each has a 4/3 sensor and shoot 16-megapixel stills. The X5R has the additional capablilty of shooting in RAW.
