Tom Cruise makes entertaining movies. Some of his hits include Taps, The Outsiders, Risky Business, Top Gun, Rain Man, Born On The Fourth Of July, Jerry Maguire, Magnolia, Minority Report, The Mission Impossible Series, and Oblivion to name a few. His latest flick, Edge Of Tomorrow ($TBA), looks to be another blockbuster. The movie is directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity) and is based on the light novel All You Need is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka.
Based in the near future Tom plays Major William Cage, an officer whose never seen combat but is dropped into the middle of a suicide mission. He is fighting a hive like alien force who attacks the earth turning our major cities into rubble. In one last battle that unites the earths forces, Tom is almost immediately killed, but finds himself in a time loop after making contact with one of the aliens. He fights the same battle over and over again honing his skills each time with the help of Special Forces soldier Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt).
The Edge of Tomorrow is expected to drop in the United States on June 4th, but until then check out the first trailer above.
