At Muted we love things that are first designed well, minimal while maintaining function, handmade, and built to last longer than a lifetime. The Packbags by Farmer’s Racer ($310) fit those qualifications perfectly. Farmer’s Packbags are created by a single person from the cutting to the list stitch. The bags are made of 18oz waxed cotton canvas. A 1.5mm rubber sheet is added to the base, front and back of the bag, while the sides are left unlined to maintain pliability. The buttons on the bag are intelligent and the same ones used on marine tarpaulins. The bag comes with two small leather loops so that it can easily be used on a bike or motorcycle as a saddlebag. Backpack Slings ($26) are available so that it can be used as a backpack. Great design, minimally functional, handmade, and durable are great ways to describe a great bag by Farmer’s Racer.
