The beautifully refined Omega Speedmaster Apollo 11 45th Anniversary Watch ($TBA) was introduced at Baselworld 2014 and I just might need to add this guy to my collection. The watch celebrates the first lunar landing and its connection to the original Speedmaster. The watch features some interesting innovations such as the black PVD dial which was created by a laser removing material to create the name, sub-dial and hour markers. While the hands, indexes, and bezel are enhanced with 18K Omega Sedna gold. Additional features include a 42 mm case, a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, an Omega 1861 movement, and water resistance to 50 meters (167 feet). This collection is a limited edition watch and only 1,969 pieces will be released in June 2014 when it hits stores.
