After waking from a coma she has been in for 4 years, the Bride, Uma Thurman, discovers that the baby she was carrying has gone. The moral behind Kill Bill Vol. 1 ($6) is never mess with a mother as what follows is a frantic take of revenge as she tracks down the team of assassins who betrayed her, and which she was once a part of. This is not a pretty movie by any means, and its not meant to be, but the masterful direction of Quentin Tarantino coupled with the performances given by Thurman, David Carradine and Daryl Hannah elevate it to the realm of cinematic masterpiece.
