Walt Siegl is an artist who races and builds incredible motorcycles. The Leggero NBR. 5/12 Grey “ZIA” by Walt Siegl ($TBA) is the next work of art in his Leggero series of bikes. Walt says, “My goal with this series is to make a bike available, that still captures the rawness and elegance of classic motorcycle design, but the costumer does not need to be familiar with all mechanical aspects to keep it on the road, as it is required with must vintage irons”.
Walt’s Leggero’s are based on two-valve air cooled Ducati 900cc engines with fuel injection and performance ECU’s. The body of this Leggero is built from carbon fiber with splashes of paint “to add some life”. The frame is built with light weight aircraft steel tubing and the suspension components are fully adjustable Showa units.
Check out the rest of Walt’s work on his website and I’m sure you’ll see what I see, which is the hand of an artist at work. Additional pictures of “ZIA” after the break.
