Sometimes you come across a picture that doesn’t even look as though it’s from this planet. That is just the case with National Geographic’s Photo Of The Year. The Power Of Nature By Sergio Tapiro Velasco is a shot of an eruption from Mexico’s Colima Volcano on December 13, 2015. He was in the town of Comala and got the shot when he noticed the mountain starting to glow. A moment later he caught the shot of the powerful volcanic explosion expelling a cloud of ash and a lightning bolt providing the only light. He calls it one of the most exciting moments of his life. I would certainly agree.
