The New Balance just released their New Balance 574 “Sonic & Clarity” ($120) and they definitely a departure from their standard looks. The updated 574s are related to the new 1500’s which incorporate sonic welding construction. The Clarity part of the name probably comes from the muted colorways in the collection. The iconic off-road running shoe also gets some modern updates making it more durable and lightweight when compared to its predecessors. Right now they’re only available from Japan, but we’ll let you know if they make it to the states.
