The Pilot 39 Automatic ($550-$700) is a budget watch with a great movement. The ETA 2824-2 the Pilot 39 uses is a swiss made automatic winding, 25 jewel movement. It’s used by a number of high-end brands like Tudor, Breitling, and Tag Heuer, and when regulated correctly it can keep time just as well as the 2892. The case of the Pilot is 39mm and made from stainless steel. It has a brushed finish and is capped off with a sapphire crystal. You can also get the case in black PVD and you have your choice of bands; black, dark brown, or light brown leather, and stainless steel or Milanaise mesh.
