We all know that the music we download nowadays is compressed and missing a lot of the nuance that the original artist wanted us to hear. With compression comes loss of detail and that emotional attachment that we felt from analog formats like vinyl records. PonoPlayer ($300) hopes to change all of this with its Kickstarter. Pono is looking to provide high quality digital music through its online store which will be playable on its portable PonoPlayer. You will be able to download and play 192kHz/24 bit music that has about 6 times more musical information than a standard mp3. The player will feature two output jacks.
