I think I’m in love. The newly released Raspberry Pi 2 Model B ($35) is the latest update to the already legendary microcomputer board. The latest Raspberry Pi 2 comes with an updated 900MHz ARM Cortex-A7 quad-core processor and twice the ram, going from 512mb to a full 1GB. The developers claim the new upgrades will provide up to six times the performance of the previous board. All of this for the same price. And Because raspberry is always thinking of its users the placement of all the connectors and the ports will stay the same, so you be able to continue using the same case and accessories if you just want to change the board.
Will Run A Version Of Windows 10
Now some more good news. Microsoft has stated they will be releasing a version of Windows 10 software free to its Maker community through the Windows Developer Program for IoT (Internet of Things). My hope is that someone will eventually port XBMC, Netflix and Amazon Prime to the OS to provide a cheap multimedia system.
