If you’re into shooting video, then you’ve heard of Red. They create the pinnacle of video cameras, used by almost every professional and drooled over by every novice. The problem is they start somewhere in the $20K range. Red’s latest offering, the Red Raven ($5950) makes professional video making more accessible for us regular guys. The new camera is a 4K cinema camera with 16.5 stops of range, shooting rates of 120 fps, and 2K recording rates of 240 fps. It’s also their smallest offering weighing in at just 3.5 lbs. Additional features include an 8.8 megapixel Red Dragon sensor and available add-ons including SSD storage and LCD monitors.
