A movie that many guys name as their number one war flick, and containing just about the goriest opening half hour you will find in any movie, Saving Private Ryan ($15) is yet another masterpiece from the genius that is Steven Spielberg. Four Ryan brothers go to war, 3 are killed and a group of soldiers go deep behind enemy lines to find the fourth. Matt Damon is Private Ryan, but the star of the show is the incomparable Tim Hanks, the leader of the group sent to find him. An action packed movie that will also tug at the heartstrings, Saving Private Ryan is a must see.
