This is probably my dream bachelor pad. The Skyline House ($NFS) was designed by the Terry and Terry Architecture firm and is situated on a mountain range overlooking Oakland, California.
From its vantage point, you can see the Southwest Bay and the Golden Gate. The architects took an already existing Fire-Storm house and created an open plan home in order to connect the home to the outdoor garden and the beautiful views.
They took the existing floor plan and transformed the kitchen to open to the outdoors which also creates an outdoor eating area. Opposite the kitchen, there is an indoor dining area which opens out to the deck.
A new staircase connects the main living area to a media room, guest room and office area.
Hygge Supply doesn’t want you to call their homes prefab. They prefer the more distinct “kit description”. The first kit homes were actually sold by Sears form 1908-1930.
