OK, I put this Smartphone in the ‘Cell Phones’ category, but I was real tempted to throw it in with the tablets. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra ($TBA) is Sony’s larget handset to date with a display size of 6.44 inches. To put that in perspective the iPad mini has a 7.9 inch display and the iPhone 5 has a 4 inch display. I like to think of it as a tablet with cell phone capabilities.
Anyway outside of its size the Xperia Z Ultra has a lot of other things going for it. The enclosure has a metallic frame, tempered glass on the front and rear and is real thin at only .26 inches. It has an 8-megapixel camera and is IP58 durability rated, which means if you want to take some underwater shots, knock yourself out, the Z Ultra can handle it. It has a 2.2Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core on the inside and will come loaded with the latest version of Jelly Bean.
