The Tesla Model 3 ($35,000) just debuted and its already acquired more than 150,000 preorders. That’s roughly 5.25 Billion in sales. Not bad for a company that barely sold 50,000 cars all of last year.
Although the Model 3 is the most affordable car in the companies lineup, a lot of attention was paid to the details. The fully electric design gives the Model 3 a 200-mile range, and it can reach 60 miles per hour in under six seconds.
On the inside you won’t see your standard gauges, everything is controlled through a centrally located flat screen console. Additional features include a low center of gravity providing improved handling, an aluminum chassis and room for five. If you have $1,000 laying around you can pre-order yours today. Expect deliveries sometime late 2017.
