Dualchas Architects are a building design firm located on the Isle of Skye located in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. Their primary concerns are “sustainability through the use of energy harnessing technology, the choice of materials in the build, and the life-use of the building.” The Cliff House By Dualchas Architects ($TBA) is a perfect example of this ethos. The Cliff House is simple two-bedroom home with a wall of glass that allows the residents to take in the majestic views across Loch Dunvegan in north west Skye. Dug out of the side of a hill, it integrates perfectly with its environment and is practically invisible from the front.
