More than half a century after it’s original release, this iconic spaghetti western is still considered one of the best ever made. One of the trilogy featuring Clint Eastwood as the man with no name, the other two being A Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More, the title characters of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly ($11) are Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef and Eli Wallach. Two men are forced to form an uneasy alliance with a third to see the ultimate prize of a fortune in gold buried in a remote ceremony. The masterful direction of Leone coupled with the cast, a dramatic setting and a damned good storyline make for a spectacular western that is as enjoyable today as it was back then.
