The Micro 3D Printer ($299) surpassed its Kickstarter goal of $50,000 in 11 minutes and with 28 days to go is sitting at a cool million dollars pledged. So what makes this printer so compelling? Well the most obvious detail would have to be the price. With most 3D printers starting out around the $1,000 mark the Micro is incredibly affordable when compared to the field. It also features compatibility with either Mac, Windows, and Linux systems, can be fed ABS, PlA, or Nylon spools, has a 50-350 micron layer resolution, and a print base area of 109mm x 113mm.
