With Autism rates in the United Kingdom at around 1.1%, it’s more than likely you know someone, or have someone in your family afflicted with the condition. Autistic kids have difficulty in social situations, and tend to stay within themselves. But they often show brilliance in many other ways. One such exceptional girls is 5-year-old Iris Grace from the UK.
Due to her Autism she has extreme focus and incredible attention to detail. With these attributes she’s been able to create fantastic works of art, reminiscent of the great Monet. Iris learned to speak very slowly and as part of her therapy her parents introduced her to painting.
“Then we realized that she is actually really talented and has an incredible concentration span of around 2 hours each time she paints. Her autism has created a style of painting which I have never seen in a child of her age, she has an understanding of colors and how they interact with each other.”
