Caddyshack ($7) kicked off the 80s with a bang. The movie was awesome but the stories of the partying that took place during the filming are legendary. Directed by Harold Ramis and starring Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, and Bill Mary, this movie is about a very exclusive golf course that the primary character, Danny Noonan (Michael O’Keefe), works at. He’s trying to raise money to go to college and his best chance is to win a caddy scholarship from Judge Elihu Smails (Ted Knight), the owner of the Country Club. Sub plots includes Ty Webb (Chevy Chase) who helps Danny understand his real goals, Al Czervik (Rodney Dangerfield), a millionaire who wants to buy the Club, and of course Carl Spackler (Bill Murray), the unhinged grounds keeper will do anything to kill a gopher. Caddyshack is a great flick and worth seeing all over again.
